FAMILIARIZATION TOUR BY THE MCE

Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, Chief Executive for Suame Municipal, together with assembly members, staff, and constituency executives, embarked on a familiarization tour in the municipality. He interacted with the Nkwantwima chief, Otumfour Bosumurohene, Kronumhene, Abuohiahene, Kyeresihene, and elders to collaborate on infrastructure developments; cleanliness and improvement are his priorities for the municipality. The MCE took the opportunity to pledge to the chiefs for reservation of lands for infrastructure and empowered the youth within our communities.

However, he promised Nkwantwimahene, Otumfour Bosumuruhene, 50 bags of cement and 5 modern doors for the ongoing construction of the Nkwantwima palace. He informed the elders that he is their son and encouraged them to continue advising him, as he welcomes their guidance in all his endeavors.

The Municipal Assembly’s initiative to engage with the community and local leaders is highly commendable. By collaborating with chiefs and elders, the Assembly led by the MCE is building an important relationship that can lead to effective solutions for local challenges. The MCE’s commitment to improving infrastructure, particularly through the pledge to establish a health center, is crucial for enhancing the quality of life in the community. Additionally, the MCE promise of 50 bags of cement and 5 pieces of modern doors for the Nkwantwima palace demonstrates a tangible investment in local projects.

CLEANUP EXERCISE AT SUAME MARKET

At midnight, the Suame Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, in collaboration with the Ghana National Fire Service, cleaned all the rain gutters in the Kumasi Suame Market. This initiative was part of the Assembly’s efforts to prevent the accumulation of dirt and dust in the market.

The Ghana National Fire Service officers showed professionalism and worked very diligently to ensure that all the rain gutters looked clean. The construction of the market flooring will be completed on Monday to ensure that all the roadside traders can move into the market, thereby reducing traffic congestion in my municipality.

The Assembly believed that, this initiative is a commendable step towards improving the market’s environment. Clean gutters can prevent flooding and promote hygiene, which is essential for the health of traders and customers alike. Additionally, completing the flooring will make the market more accessible and organized, encouraging more traders to set up their stalls inside rather than on the roadside. This could significantly reduce traffic congestion, making the area safer and more pleasant for everyone. It is good to see local authorities taking proactive measures for community development!

KYEREASE ROAD IMPROVEMENT

The Suame Municipal Assembly, led by the Municipal Chief Executive Hon. Frank Owusu Ansah, reshape the road networks for the Kyerease community, allowing the residents to walk on the roads, especially during the rainy season.

The construction of road networks is a significant step toward improving the quality of life for the residents of Kyerease. Accessible and well-maintained roads enhance mobility, facilitate trade, and promote safety.

This development is crucial, particularly during the rainy season when poor road conditions can hinder movement and lead to isolation. Overall, such infrastructure projects can greatly contribute to the community’s progress and development.
