On 25th December, 2023 a report from the Regional Nadmo operations signal the office about a dead body found along a stream near Adonko Company limited.
According to an eye witness the deceased “Samid Richard Abdul” has no permanent stay in the area, normally bath at the bank of the river at that faithful day he was drunk the next day found dead. The assemblyman of the areas with the police took the body to the mortuary.
On the 07/12/2023, Mrs. Constance Amankwa of National Commission for Civic Education (NCCE) Suame, sensitized Abattoir-Kotoko community on elections of District Assembly and Unit Committee members who are mandated to supervise the overall development of the district.
Madam Constance Amankwa educated them to vote for the candidates who are capable and have the willingness to make a positive impact. She also encourage women to be bold and actively participate in the district level and Unit Committee elections and also show themselves to be voted for and ask important questions when aspirants engage them.

The 39th Edition of National Farmers Day Celebration was held on Friday, 1st December, 2023 at exactly 10:30am at Old Suame Bus Stop adjacent National Investment Bank on the theme “Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience”.
Well wishers, Invited Guests, Government Officials, Staff, as well as Traditional Leaders started converging at venue to commence the 39th Farmers Day Celebration. Opening prayer was said by Sheikh Badawi, Suame Imam.
The MC in the person of Mr. Ben Boakye introduced the dignitaries present and they included; the Municipal Chief Executive, Hon. Maxwell Ofosu Boakye, the Presiding Member, Hon. Boakye Ansah, the Municipal Coordinating Director, Mr. Johnson Nyarko, Director of Agric, Mr. Abass Mohammed, Heads of Departments and other invited guests present. The traditional leaders were also acknowledged and they included the Suame Dikro, Nana Pintinkahene and other Nananom present.
Ms. Esther Bobie-Ansah introduced the chairperson for occasion and it was Suame Dikro in the person of Nana Adu-Ansere Bekoe II. He accepted to chair the occasion.
The head of the Agric Department, Mr. Abass Mohammed led the Chief Executive, the Nananom and selected personalities through inspecting some of the products exhibited.
The Director of Agriculture welcomed everybody present to the 39th Farmers Day Celebration and spoke on the theme for the year Farmers Day Celebration which was “Delivering Smart Solutions for Sustainable Food Security and Resilience”.
He also had the opportunity to speak on what the Agric Department has done this year by impacting knowledge through the Extension Officers to farmers. The Municipal Chief Executive on behalf of the President, His Excellency Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo Addo and the sector Minister, Hon. Dr. Bryan Acheampong and his own behalf, congratulated the farmers for their commitment and unrelenting efforts over the years to feed the people and being major stakeholders in the nation building.
The celebration saw the presentation of awards to farmers in the municipality who have
distinguished themselves in their line of work. Out of 15 farmers nominated for the awards, 7 were awarded
The following categories and personalities were awarded with fridges, blenders, TVs, spraying machines, wellington boots, cutlases, clothes and certificates.

The overall best farmer for Suame Municipal for 2023 was Mr. Nicholas Kyereme
He was given an Apsonic Motor King, spraying machine, cutlasses, wellington boots, cloth and a certificate. He later received the sword from the 2022 best farmer signifying he has emerged as the best farmer for 2023 Farmers Day. Mr. Nicholas Kyereme, a married man with four kids thanked the Almighty God and the Municipality for the Award.
The chairperson for the occasion thanked all for the support they gave for the successful program. He recommended the award winners to continue to work hard in their various enterprises to produce food for the country.
Closing prayer was said by Very Rev. Kyei Baffour, Suame Methodist and the celebration ended at exactly 12:00pm.
