At the occasion, gallant farmers were decorated, celebrated and awarded.<\/p>\n<p>In all, ten (10) deserving farmers received varying awards from the following categories;<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Overall Best Farmer<\/li>\n<li>Best Maize Farmer<\/li>\n<li>Best Plantain Farmer<\/li>\n<li>Best Person with Disability (PWD) in farming<\/li>\n<li>Best Fish Farmer<\/li>\n<li>Best Poultry Farmer<\/li>\n<li>Best Rabbit Farmer (Non-Traditional)<\/li>\n<li>Best Vegetable Farmer<\/li>\n<li>Best Livestock Farmer<\/li>\n<li>Best Agric Staff<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The Best District Farmer received a motor bike and assorted farm inputs. Items given to other awardees included TV sets, fridges, cutlasses, knapsack sprayers and other farm inputs.<\/p>\n<p>The celebration was well attended by chiefs of the various traditional areas, Hon. Members of our Assembly, Staff of the Assembly, Political Party Representatives and other farm-based institutions.<\/p>\n<p>The Municipal Chief Executive celebrated the farmers for their untiring efforts to ensure food security in the municipality.
